Auspicious Pattern” is a wonderful work of art in Chinese traditional art treasure-house. Its rich connotation and fine ideal make it exactly the symbol of our folk culture.
With its elegance behind clumsy, its beauty in plainness and its characteristic decorative style, it has been very popular in folk decorative arts for thousands of years and has brought spiritual delight to people in their hope for better life. Widely used, it plays an important role in carving, mother of pearl inlaid, embroidery, painting, printing and dyeing. Design of PLUM,ORCHID, BAMBOO, AND CHRYSANTHEMUM
The pattern that consists of plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum is called “si junzi” which means “four noble characters”. These four plants can stands very cold weather and are will never stoop to flattery.
